A. Juss.: Epicalyx small or absent. Epicalyx 5-12-fid. Fruit a capsule.
HIBISCUS L.: Leaves undivided or palmate-lobed. Flowers pink or yellow with
an epicalyx of 5-12 lobes or segments. Fruit a capsule. Leaves, at least some
of them, palmate-lobed, flowers yellow with purple base. Calyx intensely
crimson-coloured, in fruit fleshy. HIBISCUS SABDARIFFA L.: Erect, slightly
branched herb. Lower leaves undivided, upper ones deeply cleft into 3-5
narrow lobes. Capsule ovoid, villous, seeds pilose. Annual, perennial. Source:
