Division ANGIOSPERMAE. Carpels infolded or arranged as to form an ovary in which the ovules are borne.

Class DICOTYLEDONEAE. Embryo with 2 cotyledons ; stem with open vascular bundles ; leaves usually netveined ; flowers usually not 3-merous.

~ Subclass ARCHICHLAMYDEAE. Perianth of free parts or absent.

GERANIALES:

EUPHORBIACEAE. Plants of various aspect, all with latex ; inflorescence cyathium (in Euphorbia) ; ovary 3-loculed with 1-2 ovules in each locule on axile placentas ; fruit a 3-lobed capsule.
