Subclass ARCHICHLAMYDEAE. Perianth of free parts or absent. CENTROSPERMAE: CHENOPODIACEAE. Herbs, often fleshy, with simple
sepaloid, not scarious, persistent perianth of 5 segments or less ; stamnes 5
or less opposite perianth-lobes ; ovary of 2 carpels, 1-loculed, with 1 basal
